This light-hearted sports drama tells the story of a gifted soccer player and a sports agent who clash on the field and gradually fall in love. Go Ara, much beloved for her role in 2008′s Who Are You?, and Jung Yunho (better known as U-know Yunho) of wildly popular Kpop band TVXQ have excellent chemistry together as the lead couple, and carry Heading to the Ground with their vibrant romance.
Rookie sports agent Kang Hae Bin (Go Ara) will do whatever it takes to become succesful. Faced with constant opposition from her estranged father, her fellow agents, and a society in which sports-related careers are considered a masculine domain, she is determined to fulfill her dream and take one of her players to the World Cup. When she discovers Cha Bong Gun (Yunho) a talented soccer player whose team has just been dissolved, she is determined to become his agent.
Bong Gun, however, is unwilling to play soccer anymore, and Hae Bin will have to stake her career on him in order to win out against his own and others’ opposition. As they quarrel and interact, the two gradually learn the absolute commitment and trust which must exist between a player and his agent, but are warmer feelings possible? And will Hae Bin risk her budding career if she gets unprofessionally involved? Complicating things are Jang Seung Woo (Lee Sang Yoon), Bong Gun’s wealthy archenemy who is pursing Hae Bin. Heading to the Ground is a warm-hearted tale of two people who unite to make their dreams come true.
