Help Name the Drama ‘Festival’

FESTIVAL is coming to DramaFever! Or should we say YOU’VE FALLEN FOR ME is coming to DramaFever? We’re not sure what to call it, but it’s coming to DramaFever in June and it’s going to be one hot drama! Starring Jung Yong Hwa, Park Shin Hye (both from You’re Beautiful), and Song Chang Ui (Yi San), the drama originally had the title Festival (페스티벌), and now has the working title You’ve Fallen For Me (넌 내게 반했어). (Read the full story at Dramabeans.) With production getting ready to begin, it’s possible the official English title may change again. We want to hear what title you think fits best! Jung Yong Hwa

Jung Yong Hwa plays Lee Shin, a college student majoring in modern music. Singer and guitarist for a band called The Stupid, he is known for his good looks and passion for music. With a cold personality, he only cares about his music, uninterested in a traditional career or future. Shin is infatuated with a dance professor at his university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won.

Park Shin Hye

Park Shin Hye plays Lee Kyu Won, a bright, outgoing student born into a prestigious family. She is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, such as the gayageum. Kyu Won’s grandfather is one of the top traditional musicians of his age, and his wish is that his granddaughter will become a traditional music prodigy.

Trying to live up to her grandfather’s expectations, Kyu Won immerses herself in training and knows nothing besides traditional music. One day, Kyu Won’s friends drag her to a concert to watch The Stupid, and she is instantly captivated by Lee Shin playing guitar on stage… Find out what happens in June on DramaFever!

Hah! I like Roger's "I'm With Stupid" - clever with a double take! I'm really happy they got rid of "Festival" - it had that ring of an old Elvis movie title..... We're trying to get JB or GF at Dramabeans to recap this one but there's a handful of really great-sounding dramas coming in the next two months. City Hunter with Lee Min Ho, anyone?!?!

How about "Heartstrings"? I like this because she is learning instruments such as the gayageum and he plays guitar. Since there is a spark between them, matters of the heart, I think it will go very well with the drama. :D

Ooohh.. I like Imi's idea.. "HEARTSTRINGS". It has a nice ring to it. But, my idea is "I'VE FALLEN FOR YOU" sounds better than "You've Fallen For Me". :)

I like the title FREE FALLING. A free fall occurs when gravity is the only force working on a body. In this film, it sounds like Lee Shin and Lee Kyu Won are irrestibly attracted to one another, but Lee Kyu Won also has the "gravity" of her grandfather pulling her away from Lee Shin. Which force will prove the strongest? I look forward to learning that when the film comes out.

I suggest "Between The LInes" This title suggest the multi-dimensional aspect of the story. The music that connects and separates the main characters. The personalities of the main characters that appear on the surface to be completely opposite but on the deeper level connected and united. Also all music, whether it is traditonal, comtemporary, or rock is written somewhere on those five lines to create a composition. So the title also suggests the dynamic composition between the styles of music, between the characters, and between the characters and the music.

1. HEARTSTRINGS Excellent. Simple and unique, yet perfectly encapsulates the general theme of the drama. It's not too trite to sound corny or sappy, so it has the potential to go in any direction, whether comedy or drama. Trendy sense of the word (i.e. short/snappy, colloquial) fits well with the youthfulness of college. 2. The Music of My Life Great title has the advantage of being vague enough to fit any number of genres and themes, so this could work well with this drama...as well as many others. Would probably save this title for something that was really difficult to name. 3. An Abstract Harmony Also encapsulates the drama's theme quite well, though it has a more mature tone than 'heartstrings.' Probably would be a better title for a mature melodrama. 4. I'm With Stupid Hilarious and awesome connection. Would work well if it were a pure fluff comedy. If the drama has some depth and heart to it though, it won't fit as well as the others. 'Festival' would work well IF the drama centered around a festival. The word reminds me of a celebration of traditional culture, which doesn't address the modern concert or collegial atmosphere of the drama. 'You've Fallen For Me' is far too generic of a title for a drama that has defining characteristics (e.g. contrasting musical traditions, college love) So my vote's for HEARTSTRINGS. Either all-capitalized or all-lowercase so that each letter has equal emphasis, marking the fact that each aspect of the 'heartstring' is equally important. Not separated, but as a portmanteau, to represent the inextricable link between the heart and the music.

I really like the previous suggestion of "Heartstrings." It's nice and simple. I feel like something longer, such as "You've Fallen For Me" is a bit not memorable and also kind of long and convoluted. But anything that's three words or shorter should be fine.

I like HEARTSTRINGS from Imi, Rosalind’s “Playing to the tune of my heart” and Roger’s “I’m with stupid.” The show probably wants to have an English title that attracts American’s these are the ones that would attract me since after all I'm an American too and I’m pretty sure it would attract a lot of other Americans too. Also “I’ve fallen for you.” But it doesn't have to do that much with music so I don't know... As of now, basically "Heartstrings", " Playing to the tune of my heart" and "I'm with stupid."

Stupid and Stupider Stupid and Me Too Stupid To Love That Stupid Face You’re Getting On My Nerves, Stupid Get Outa My Face, Stupid He Ain’t As Stupid As He Looks I don't know if they would actually use the word stupid in their title. "When Gayageum Met Stupid" - Good title, too. In fact, I might even like this better than 'heartstrings.' Nice play on 'stupid', and 'gayageum' conveys the sense of culture that comes with playing traditional instruments. Also describes a pivotal moment in their meeting. Very nice.

I laughed SO HARD when I saw the title “I’m With Stupid”, but then it kinda sounds like somebody has mental issues and the name I don’t think suits the concept of the drama with the pictures… “Heartstrings” I like a lot too and I think it suits the drama’s poster perfectly. I would have named it “You Play the Music of my Heart…” or “Opposites Attract”, they both have very different music styles but they are drawn to each other in the end… hehe
