To All Our Viewers,
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being early supporters of DramaFever! We know you have many choices in entertainment, and we take your viewership very seriously. That’s why we want to be the first to tell you about some improvements to our service.
In the coming days, you will hear that we are raising prices on Premium Membership. This will affect new subscribers who sign up after January 31, 2012, but if you begin Premium service before January 31, or are currently a Premium subscriber, your subscription price will never go up. No matter what pricing changes occur in the future, you will not be subject to a price increase as long as you keep your current membership plan active. You were with us from the beginning and we hope you’ll stay with us forever!
We made significant improvements to DramaFever in recent months, and are committed to making even more in the future. These include:
- Doubling our content library to over 7,000 hours of video
- Over 30 simulcast titles scheduled for 2012
- Releasing a Roku app for premium users
- Our brand new iPad web app, which you can access here
- Access to more HD videos in the coming weeks
Premium Membership subscriptions help us improve your experience by acquiring more titles and also bringing DramaFever to more devices. If you’re happy with your current plan, simply do nothing and you can continue to renew it at that price for as long as you please. If you’d like to change to a different package, please do so by January 31, 2012 in order to lock in today’s prices. If you’d like to sign up for DramaFever Premium Service and lock in at our current rate, or to change your plan, you may do so here.
We hope you’re pleased with the service you’re getting from us, and would love to hear your feedback directly at support@dramafever.com.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks again!

Elaine January 9th, 2012 8:20 pm
I love my premium service and appreciate your hard work to keep improving the site and offering more and more entertainment. Thanks!
NewKDramaAddict January 9th, 2012 8:42 pm
See, this is how you do business, Netflix! I ended up downgrading my service after being with them from the beginning! Thanks, DF. I’ve already turned cable off and now depend solely on streaming! So happy no change for Premium!!
Amy January 9th, 2012 9:50 pm
Thank you!!! One of the best things I did was sign up for Premium and now it’s staying the same price that is awesome!!!
Mara January 9th, 2012 11:46 pm
Yes, I love my Dramafever as well…
Concerning Roku, as a premium subscriber where can I get information about using Roku with Dramafever as I am thinking of purchasing a Roku box…..
Asianmovielover January 10th, 2012 12:20 am
Hello DramaFever founders! Were you surprised when you found out how many non-asians in the USA were fans of Asian tv and cinema? U can see it on ur Facebook page every day. Kdramas are the big draw for me as with most people. I don’t know what i’d do without DramaFever, i can’t go back to American programming, so keep it coming and tnx. Kdramas…the best tv on the planet!
404Floral4 January 10th, 2012 12:52 am
DramaFever is the best, I use it more than Netflix!
Jack January 10th, 2012 1:48 am
DramaFever….fighting!! Thanks for YOUR hard work. Love my DF premium and I love the relationship you have with your viewers….it makes ME feel extra special.
jerjonji January 10th, 2012 8:10 am
Dramafever is worth every penny I pay for it. Not having to watch ads, being able to watch the whole thing intact, seeing recent stuff, knowing it’s high quality video and highly reliable… it’s incredible service for not much money (Netflixs is a lot more a year!) I would pay double cheerfully if you carried more Taiwanese dramas!!! (And more Japanaese.) There is a certain sense of moral satisfaction as well knowing that you guys have done it right legally!
linda macy January 10th, 2012 8:45 am
Premium service is one of the best gifts I have ever purchased for myself. Totally addicted to watching Drama Fever….thanks for a job well done. I highly recommend you to all of my friends.

I ‘ve heard of Dramavever coming to Europe ( France to be precise ). Is there some news or info about that ? Because i think you offer the best services when it comes to streaming. I’m really ready to pay a fee if it’s to go legal and have a great content. The contributors of this site are awesome. Please… pretty please.
Dan January 10th, 2012 10:21 am
Thanks so much everyone for the kind words! @Mystisith, as we grow we are definitely looking to expand to more countries. Stay tuned!

I am a new fan to Korean Drama. I am so happy with my premium subscription. Not only am I enjoying viewing but I am learning so much about Korean culture and the beautiful country that Korea is.There is a saying that”You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” Well I’m an “old dog” and I learn something new every time I watch a new Korean Drama.Thank you so much and keep up the good work.
Gabriela Voicu January 12th, 2012 1:53 am
Please make it available for Europe too! We have extremely limited access and we are looking forward to welcome you here.
Stan January 12th, 2012 4:50 pm
DramaFever is awesome! The Premium subscription is awesome! I watch DramaFever on my desktop, netbook and Droid Bionic! Only a small complaint, slow down the display time of the translation. Some translations flash by so quickly, we do not get a chance to read them!
Dan January 12th, 2012 5:10 pm
Thank you so much for your kind words, Stan! I might be able to help with the subtitle “flashing” problem that you mention.
This is from our FAQ: This can happen when the video is buffering and slows down, but the timeline marker continues to advance. When the video catches up to speed, the subtitles will flash by as it tries to catch up to the video. When this happens, try refreshing the page and see if it helps solve the problem. Allow for the video to load for a couple of minutes before resuming play.
Hope this helps, and thank you again for your support!
tt January 12th, 2012 10:33 pm
I love watching DF from my Roku!!! Now I am buying the premium subscription so I can watch DF all day long from my tv.
Kathy January 13th, 2012 5:58 am
My brother got me a year of Netflix lat year ,and I watched a few Korean movies I did a search and found Drama Fever. I only watch Drama Fever now. I don”t even watch TV now. I have a Premium account now. I would love to see more romance comedies please. As you can tell the most view shows are romance comedies. STILL LOVING DRAMA FEVER !!!!
Cagly January 13th, 2012 2:04 pm
Drama Fever has led me to switch completely from American TV to Korean TV. I ESPECIALLY like being able to choose shows that are in keeping with my personal, moral standards, as well as choosing what venue suits me. Sometimes I watch 3 shows at a time, depending on my mood. Romantic Comedies are my favorite with the Historial shows a close second. THANKS so much for great shows, great acting, and great translations as well as a great way to watch.
marva January 13th, 2012 9:44 pm

I am so excided that you will be streaming on Roku. I love my roku box and now I will love it even more because It will have ” Drama Fever ” Since I signed up as a premium member I only now get my korean fix here. I have been a K Drama fan since 2004. I just happened to tune into ” Summer Scent ” and I was hooked. Thank you for adding that drama to your very good list of dramas. Like your other fan of Drama Fever, I also no longer have cable. I have recommended Drama Fever to all my friends and family. Keep up the good work and Mahalo for giving us something that gives us joy everyday.
Mahalo & Aloha
ajumma 47 January 14th, 2012 10:58 am

Miriam January 14th, 2012 5:30 pm
Are you going to release an app for Android cell phones?
Jackieb January 14th, 2012 10:29 pm
I spend more time watching movies on dramafever than I do on Netflix and Directv. I have one question – Do you have plans to release an app for PS3?
Amanda January 15th, 2012 11:14 am
This site is lovely, and clearly the people who created it are too! Thank you guys so much for the warning and for not changing prices for the premium members! It was a tough decision to make to go to premium, because I don’t make much money. BUT! The quality of this site and the love, has helped me look away as I signed up for yearly premium! =D Thanks again for being such honest and good people! =) And I am definitely looking forward to the future with you all!
Happy January 15th, 2012 2:51 pm
Thank you for not raising the prices for current premium members. I love watching Korean dramas even though I’m not Korean. I hope I can watch them on my Android cell phone too in the very near future. My sister is the one who introduced me to Drama Fever and she also loves it.
S Yeoh January 15th, 2012 3:28 pm
I had a pop up when on your page saying that DF is coming to Australia and to provided our email for future notification. Is that for real or is it spam?
Cassandra January 15th, 2012 3:39 pm
DF you have successfully given me every reason not to leave!! Keep up the good work!
Indynoona January 15th, 2012 4:43 pm
I love DramaFever and am very glad to have the Premium Membership. It is so worth it not to have the ads. Hulu Plus has not followed suit. I am really enjoying watching What”s Up, Kimchi Family and Emperor of the Sea currently on DF. I rarely watch American TV anymore. Too many dumb reality shows and very little quality programming. I have gotten several of my friends into K-dramas and they are thanking me! I have a long list of future dramas in my queue to watch. Plan to go to Korea this summer and I feel like I will be a lot more culturally ‘with it’ than I was the last time I was there! I can recognize a lot of Korean actors now. Keep up the good work Drama Fever!
Sulieti January 15th, 2012 8:33 pm
I came across Korean Drama through Hulu they recommended “My Princess” so I started watching it. l got hooked, that was about a year ago. Hulu recommend shows similar to my taste, of I like to see. I like to watch shows that have meaning without any sexual innuendo or vulgar language. It’s really sad that I have to look to foreign tv to find wholesome tv. I am a family oriented person and very modest. I hope that Korean Drama don’t try to be like American tv. I hope they stay true to their value something the American use to have but lost it because of greedy and perverse culture that we American allow in our living and too late to change it. I became a premium member about 3 months ago and really glad I did and will continue to be a member. Great job to the founders of Drama Fever and many more success in the future!
Bi_B2st January 15th, 2012 11:27 pm
Big thanks to Dramafever! I love my membership (2 years now) and will continue in the future! Keep up the wonderful work you are doing!
faiko12 January 16th, 2012 7:49 pm
loves all the drama fevers movies so excited keep up the good works.
Julia January 17th, 2012 12:01 pm
Thank you for posting all the dramas, and in such good quality! I’ve been a member for a while and it’s well worth it. I’ve fallen in love with Korean culture and language (and some of the actors, haha!)…and I like reading the readers’ comments for every series. You’ve done a great job! Best wishes in 2012.
TJ January 17th, 2012 10:54 pm
Please, what is Roku app?
dnabyun January 18th, 2012 1:40 pm
Dramafever changed my life! It’s the best site. The newest improvements have been great. Last year it was losing the quality (bad streaming) but they fixed it and it’s just awesome.
Keep up the good work! I’ve been holding off to buy the iPad because it wasn’t working on iPad. Now it’s working and I’m gonna get myself iPad ASAP!
Linda January 18th, 2012 4:41 pm
Hello
I have enjoyed Dramafever for more than a year. I was wondering if this bill ‘SOPA’ and ‘PIPA’ which is suppose to come up in February in congress will in anyway effect your site.
CherishTheRain January 18th, 2012 8:53 pm
I love your site and although I do not have a premium membership I will continue watching this site. I will eventually get a premium membership although it will probably be after prices go up
debrainmke January 19th, 2012 10:19 am
I was introduced to Kdramas in September of last year (2011). I got a recommendation on Netflix to watch something called “Boys Over Flowers.” I started watching on a Thursday and came up for air that following Sunday. I didn’t know anything about Korean film or television. I was amazed at what I saw, and wanted to see more. Since September, I have not watched regular tv or cable. I have become a Kdrama addict. I purchased OSTs and I have a bumper stocker on the back of my car! I mainly watch via Hulu, which is how I gravitated to your site, because my new VIZIO tv came with Netflix and HULU apps. Because HULU is very slow with updating, I was watching addl episodes on the DramaFever website. Please DramaFever, offer a DramaFever app for VIZIO tvs. I don’t want and can’t afford to buy the ROKU box. Right now I am trying out your premium service via the 7-day free trial to see if it offers me more than what I get through HULU. It would be nice to add your app via VIZIO.
Lolapingu January 19th, 2012 1:17 pm
I love your site..I have been watching for over a year want to renew my premium service but don/t know how to my old credit card was stolen and want to submit my renewal on my new card. Please let me know how to do this
Dan January 19th, 2012 1:33 pm
Lolapingu,
Thank you for your support! We’re sorry to hear about your card. Please email support@dramafever.com and we can help you renew. Thanks again!
Celexa January 19th, 2012 6:54 pm
The only thing that would make me love DramaFever more is an android app!
dfuf January 20th, 2012 2:07 am
DF is great! Keep up the good work, and thanks for doing your best to keep down costs. I think I’m a lifer!
Michael January 20th, 2012 2:31 am
I started watching K-Drama’s on HULU. With the premium membership I no longer have to watch commercials and have a bigger selection to choose from. I noticed the majority of what I was watching came from Drama Fever. Thank you!
Now, if you can get the IPhone app created, the universe will be in harmony.
elma January 20th, 2012 11:09 am

A bit off topic but is Dramafever.com down for anyone else?
tkquel January 22nd, 2012 4:39 pm
Dramafever I love you!!!!
I fell in love a year a ago and continue to love you guys. The price is great, and the quality is great. I love the dramas and movies. I have learned to speak a little Korean, and am going to visit Korea soon. I love America, but the tv shows and movies are sub par. The dramas and movies I have grown to love, are exactly what i have been looking for. Thank you so much. I am a loyal customer for life!!!
AEN January 23rd, 2012 10:14 pm

FIGHTING!
kiwiluv January 23rd, 2012 10:39 pm
Omg i have to get one soon then right? Ouh shucks! i will now!
Christine January 24th, 2012 12:20 am
I have a question. If I got my account as a gift will the price still be lower when I need to renew?
Dan January 24th, 2012 9:51 am
Christine,
Yes if you are using your gift subscription before 1/31 and renew before it expires, you can keep the lower rate.
Thank you!
Christine January 24th, 2012 3:58 pm
I started using it December 20, 2011 so as long as I renew by December 20, 2012 it’ll be lower? Also, thank you very much for the quick answer.
Dan January 24th, 2012 4:00 pm
That’s right Christine! Just renew before your subscription expires to keep the rate you have now. Thanks!
Christine January 24th, 2012 4:04 pm
Thank you, Dan. I really love your service.
Hotnana January 25th, 2012 12:28 am
How do I know when it is time to renew?
Dan January 25th, 2012 11:02 am
Hotnana, To ensure that you don’t miss your renewal time, please go into your account settings and turn on the auto-renewal feature. Thank you!

Donald Jenner January 26th, 2012 6:31 pm
When Dramafever works, it is very good. When, as was the case a few days ago, I cannot get access, only no-server errors, and have to put up with Hulu access (and an ad every ten minutes…), then I wonder if I should be doing business with you. You need to improve your reliability substantially.
Dan January 27th, 2012 9:59 am
Donald,
Thanks for your feedback! Please let us know if you catch an error. You can reach us via Facebook, Twitter (@helpmedf) or email us at support@dramafever.com, and we’ll address the issue as soon as possible. You can look forward to improvements in all areas this year!
Ana January 27th, 2012 10:22 am
i’m currently on free trial which will end on 1/29/2012. i plan to subscribe the 1 month premium plan once free trial ends. if in case i renew on 2/29/2012, will i be charge more? or will i have the same premium rate currently?
Dan January 27th, 2012 10:29 am
Hi Ana,
Please choose the plan you’d like, and begin your subscription before 1/31 in order to keep the current rate. You must also keep your account active to keep the current rate, so we recommend turning on the “auto-payment” option.
As long as your account is active and you keep the same plan, you will keep the current rate. Let us know if you have any more questions, and thank you for your support!
Ana January 27th, 2012 10:35 am
great! thanks for the quick response.
Maryfairy January 28th, 2012 1:35 am
Hi, I didn’t receive an email notice of this before Jan 26, and as soon as I did, I immediately subscribed to Premium for a year. However, my free trial ends on Feb 1st, will I be eligible for the locked in price (I’ve already given my credit card info…)
Rubi January 28th, 2012 5:16 pm
Wow! Thanks DramaFever! I think it’s great that you are being equally as loyal as we Premium users are to you!
Helen January 28th, 2012 6:31 pm
Mahalo Dramafever for being there for us Korean drama fans. When ever I need a drama fix
I go straight to your website. I think the smartest thing I ever did was to become a Primem member.
Mahalo.
Stephanie January 29th, 2012 12:01 am
I am a premium member and I love it! But I currently have the pay by month plan with paypal and want to change the once a year plan. I have tried several times to change my subscription but paypal keeps coming up with an error about not being able to increase amount by more than 20%. Anyone find a way around this?
John Nieurzyla January 29th, 2012 1:45 am
I now live in Philippines, and am unable to find programs of your quality available, I heard that you will be opening a service here soon? can you please send me information?
Thank you

Wanda S January 29th, 2012 8:56 pm
Does this apply to gift subscriptions?
cindy January 29th, 2012 10:03 pm
I use to use netflix, and came across a movie that was not a netflix movie but gave me a link to “drama fever”, i was never familiar at all with much of any type of foreign material….mostly i was not interested because of having to read sub tiltles. However, i quickly adapted to the reading of the sub titles, and now i am absolutely hooked on korean television and movies…..”i’m a junkie” {lol}…. i find this writing and acting far superior to our own american television, so much so that i cannot even stand to watch our american show’s anymore! I am a huge fan of jang guen suk…and many, many more actors and actresses. I will be a lifelong user and supporter of DRAMA FEVER….thank you so much for introducing this viewing option to all of us who have comet o love it!!!
very sincerely,Cindy Wallace
ken January 29th, 2012 10:11 pm
i rethinking my premium subscription. The site is too unreliable. it took me 10 minutes to open the site. 10 mins to log in. 10 mins to file a technical feedback message.
Maybe a Hulu subscription is a better deal?
Beatrice Tan January 30th, 2012 1:47 am
Why? I was considering paying but this sounds gimmicky about end of the month stuff. Why we need pay more for something that is free to start with in so many places? Nothing good lasts forever
Phi N January 30th, 2012 2:16 am
I just signed up for the premium service and loving it so far, but wished there was an android app or a boxee app. I really don’t want to buy a roku since it’s pretty gimped. I want the total package which boxee provides.
Dan January 30th, 2012 11:39 am
Phi N,
Thank you for your support! An Android app and DramaFever access on other platforms is currently in progress. Stay tuned!
Anna Masiulewicz January 30th, 2012 11:50 am
For some reason, my premium status has been cancelled and I cannot reactivate it. There are no responses to my feedback comments. I had been a premium member since the service was first offered, and am very upset that I cannot reinstate, nor can I receive any information. The deadline is only 2 days away, and I am very frustrated at this point.

What’s this about “more HD videos”? Are there any titles now which are streaming in HD? What’s that all about?
Simi11 January 30th, 2012 9:29 pm
I just signed for Premium membership but not sure why it just registered for 7days trial although I made a payment selection, I understand after 7days it will still charge the $ 39 something for yearly fee, please confirm so I don’t have to worry, thank you.

Amy January 31st, 2012 8:46 am
Hi, I got a Lifetime DramaFever premium subscription during the Holidays as a gift and I was wondering if it is true that it never expires? I don’t have to worry about the price upgrade? Also, is my premium subscription any different then a normal one? I noticed the 5 year subscription plan has some extra perks to it and I was wondering if the Lifetime one did? Thanks so much! DramaFever is my favorite company. You guys really understand your customers!
Dan January 31st, 2012 9:49 am
Simi11,
If you have signed up, you automatically get a 7-day free trial period. But don’t worry, since you’ve started already you will be charged the price you agreed to. Thank you for your support!
Dan January 31st, 2012 9:50 am
Amy,
Yes, it never expires! And all Premium subscriptions give the same benefits. Thank you for your support, and enjoy your subscription!
Dan January 31st, 2012 9:58 am
John,
Many of our simulcasts have superior video quality, and in the near future we will be featuring more high definition video available on more platforms. Thanks!

I’m very sorry about that. We’ve had a tremendous response, but rest assured we will help you and you will keep the current rate. Thank you very much for your patience and support!

Am considering upgrading to Premium…but was just wondering if most of the movies/dramas come with english subs?
