Battle of the Idols Turned Actors: FEMALE EDITION

With 335 votes CN BLUE leader, Jung Yong Hwa annihilated the competition! Congrats to him, but I’m still trying to figure out how he jumped from like 4th place to 1st kicking Yoochun out the top spot in a matter of HOURS! Swear to gawwwwd a CN BLUE or Yong Hwa fanclub swung by Drama Fever and spazzed out o_0
So this week the girls have entered the battle grounds. I had asked if any of you had a fav female Idol turned actor you wanted mentioned and only 1 of you responded. Sooo basically if I didn’t add your fav and you’re all like “O.M.G KrisE you forgot so and so!” here’s my response (-_-) and here are this week’s competitors…
Group – KARA – Goo Hara – Last summer this doll hit the drama scene in City Hunter. I hope to see more from her; maybe a role in a romantic comedy with way more screen time!

Group – Girls Generation – Jessica – Her character totally creeped me out with all those cat eye drawings on walls in Wild Romance.

Group – Baby V.O.X – Yoon Eun Hye – Before she was married to Prince Shin in Goong and became a Coffee Prince, unnie was the maknae in a girl group. You can currently catch her in the drama “Lie to Me” and film “My Black Little Dress.”

roup – After School – Uee – This “Diva” has been in You’re Beautiful, starred in Birdie Buddy and most recently wrapped up the weekend drama, “Ojakgyo Brothers.”

Group – Girls Generation – Yuri – Currently going head to head with group mate Yoona, you can catch her in Fashion King.

Group – T-ara – Jiyeon – This maknae was in “Ms. Ripley” and most recently Dream High Season 2.

Group – S.E.S – Eugene – Member of the first successful female group, you may know Eugene better for her roles in I Really, Really Like You and Baker King Kim Tak Goo.

Group – Girls Generation – Yoona – This “visual” group member can be seen in the current drama Love Rain.

Group – T-ara – Eunjung – Technically she was an actor before an Idol, but let’s just pretend we don’t know that. Once a student at Dream High, her current major is History, with a focus on King Geunchogo, and “Queen Insoo.”

You’ve got the list now it’s time to pick your favorite. My vote is for Yoon Eun Hye unnie cuz I heart her and all her dramas!

yoon eun hye is the best , her work is amazing . Yoona has to work a lot a lot is almost a hundred years away of yoon eun hye's work acting , sorry but is true .

i think it would be better if the first-generation idols ( YEH, Eugene) are in a different category, cause well they aren't idols anymore. Having had more experience, they've already proven themselves to be beyond than just an acting-idol, so i think the poll's a bit unfair. YEH is obviously the best. But Yoona is too among the current idol-actresses.

  So true. YEH, Sung Yuri, Eugene somehow paved the way for the current surge of idol-actresses, hence a different category should be made. They have already a vast experience in the field of acting thus in a different league from the younger generation. But again, the poll is about who is the best in acting, but who is your favorite idol turned actress, which may also not relate to their acting prowess. Fell in love with YEH in Goong & Coffee Prince, while Yoong is making a resurgence with her credible, stable, and amazing characterization in Love Rain.

I'm sorry but Yoona and the other idol turned actresses still have a long way to go. Those who are voting for them just vote for the sake of voting for their idol. Yoon Eun Hye has already proven herself over and over again. She has won major acting awards Grimme Best Actress Award, Top Excellence Award, Baeksang Best Actress Award and also made it as a finalist for Best Actress at the Montecarlo International Festival. None of those other idol turned actress listed have achieved what Yoon Eun Hye has achieved. Its thanks to Yoon Eun Hye, Eugene and Sung Yuri that your idols are even acting today and have it a lot easier.

i voted for Uee cuz she really got into her roll of being a budding golf player and really worked hard to learn how to play golf before the drama AND she's won the Newcomer award for acting. Although I like all the other female idol/actresses on this list, Uee stood out the most with her drama because she willingly missed most of her idol schedule to film the drama in freezing temps (especially the water scene) and was not shy about getting down and dirty for her role.

Of course Yoon Eun Hye is the best. Goong is one of my favorites dramas. I love her on Lie to me. Also, I think she is the most famous internationally.

I agree this should be two polls, with Eugene, Sung Yu Ri and Yoon Eun Hye in one and the others in another, but as it is it's hard for me to decide who to vote for Eugene is by far the best of the former idols now actress but Jiyeon and Yoona are tied as the best of the idol/actresses

  Really? Well I'm glad I ordered the latte then!I don't know, when we were there, it was just us plus three other cusomters, but the baristas were looking at us warily/suspiciously the whole time. But oh well, the ambiance of the place totally makes up for it! :)Thanks for sharing your experience! It's too bad I didn't get to visit other cafes around the place, I was kinda saving my money for shopping :P

w/out any doubt, w/out any hesitations, if we base it on pure achievements alone, the best of them all is Yoon Eun Hye, she also have a very unique beauty and charm that she can make her fans become so loyal and addicted to her.. I guess this poll is unfair to other idol turned actresses here, because they still have to come a very long way before we could compare them to Miss Yoon Eun Hye. ;)

Yoon Eun Hye! All those acting awards speaks for itself. No one from her generation or present generation idol-actresses has gotten so many significant acting awards as Yoon Eun Hye has.

I haven't watched all the dramas as yet (they're all on my list tho). But Eunjung's character arc in Dream High is still high on my list of fave performances. She had to be the quiet bestie, the evil bitch we loved to hate, and a lot more...granted previous experience helped, but she really did show some acting chops.

yonna love i'm so sad love rain end but i'm watching Cinderella man because you are in it. you are so cute becuse of you i'm welling to learn Korean language and visit Korean of course when i have my own business.anyhow keep up z good job yonna
