PLEASE just go back to being a pretty face. I mean, I'm fine with Jaejoong as a relatively depth-less flower boy (I'll stomach him in Protect the Boss cause who doesnt like having him just standing around in a drama? hey, my eyes arent complaining) but SERIOUSLY THE BOY CANNOT ACT. Team Yoochun AAALLLLL the way when it comes to historical dramas, seriously. ick.

  Do you know acting? Did you watch the drama? Or you are just a YC bias who was just jealous when many critics and non fans praised Jaejoong acted very well? No one will care about your judgement and it is not true and convincing at all! Your bias got award doesn't means that he acted well as there are other factors determined it ok?! Again don't pretend you can judge people acting when you know nothing!!!!

  I am a YC fan for years but I also love Jaejoong and love what he does. He is so much more than just a pretty face. Why compare the two anyway? They have different personalities and talents just like everybody does. And you make YC seem so cheap by association with your comment. Most YC fans are more serious and thoughtful like he is.

  Seriously, did u watch this drama? His acting has improved a lot ok! He may not be the best acting idol, but you should not neglect the efforts he puts in portraying this character!!! You are so annoying!!! And I want to emphasize, JJ is not a vase, he can sing, can act, can dance, can write and compose songs and can direct the stage!!!

I think Jaejoong is doing an okay job myself; not outstanding but definitely a decent job. In Protect the Boss, its a different character and he is pretty good there. I would imagine anytime someone does a period/historical drama that it can be more challenging. As I am not familiar with him otherwise, I will stick to acting. Given time, the same complaints were written about Lee Seung Gi and look at him now!

I think his acting has been tremendous! He's young, talented, and good-looking. It's hard to play the bad guy, but he's given such warmth to his character. He's showed that he has a heart and is able to love not only his fiancee but his best friend. Can't wait to see more of his work.

I don't think Lee Seung Gi had as much criticisms as Jaejoong... though not sure myself! While Jaejoong is not a terrible actor, he's pretty bad as a sageuk actor - which requires a certain skill and technique. Just don't do sageuk. Do everything else.

Right..hes doing ok..struggling much,,but the role itself doesnt give any room for improvement..I love that hes taking on somethong challenging,,but Saeguk is just really not for him...hes adorable tho,,but would have been much better as a difft character..

I think JJ is making a positive change in his actoring career. He pulls off the cold hearted, but yet warm and caring second lead well. The character is complicated with many different faces and emotions. Being able to show all the faces of Kim Kyung Tak and making the character likeable is hard, but JJ is successful in creating this character. I think Song Seung hun and Park Min Young are very talented actors, but JJ's character has more depth. In the end, JJ is able to entice the audience and keep them guessing where his character will end up in the end. Will he betray his father? will he continue to protect the Kim clan? and what more can he sacrifice to protect the people he loves?

Jaejoong gives life to Kyung Tak excellently, being cold and conflicted, a law enforcement officer who has to show strength but wounded deep inside. His eyes are his greatest weapons, even if he doesn't talk, his eyes speaks volumes showing different state of emotions that even some veteran actors can't portray effectively. His saguek tone is well accepted by the Korean viewers. Being Kyung Tak requires extra effort, while other actors are just to memorize their lines, Jaejoong has to step out from his comfort zones and take vigorous training for his action scenes. Name any idol actor out there having Kyung Tak's kind of role- action-drama. Idol actors used to take the princely, cute,clear-cut lead role but Jaejoong takes the challenge taking a role which has a tendency to be hated or loved by the viewers. As an idol-actor, he doesn't care whether he's not the lead role, I think he's more on the substance of the character and we can't deny that in Dr. Jin, Kyung Tak is a character to be look forward in every episode which is given life by Kim Jaejoong in the highest degree.

Well I kinda like his acting. He is 1 from 3 actors that are keeping me interested in Dr. Jin. Still a bit green? Sure! But he DOES has this something interesting in his acting that keeps KT role interesting and not boring^^

JaeJoong did a great job in his drama.He was not an actor himself,but just look at how he can act like a pro.with every scence ,how can you-some people said he cannot act...?He can brought out successful his character,he made me wanna cry whenever his eyes turn red I can see how KT tried to hold his tears ,the looks in his eyes just like in real life,I can feel the hurts ,the sadness ...Did you really watch the drama,when you said *the same face in every scence*?

I think he is doing an excellent job in his first historical drama. He received many positive reviews for his role, acting, & tone in this drama. If native Koreans think he is doing a convincing job, I don't see How non Korean speaking fans can pick on his tone, when it's not your first language. I've seen many actors in their first historical role, & in all honesty, Jaejoong's role is the most difficult and complicated character I've seen so far. His portrayal of it has surpassed many other actors, & idol actors in their first historical role. Without his acting KT will be a one dimensional character. He brings depth, reality,sadness, empathy to his character without overacting, or forgetting the basis of the character which is cold, arrogant, & deeply wounded person who shows his true self for his loved ones. There are still 8 episodes to go, & I can't wait to see what will happen to him next.

Honestly, after 4 episode, I watch Dr.Jin drama only to see Kyung Tak!!! What happen to him ? How about his love life? How is he doing to win his fiance heart? Being reject again? How he's struggle every scenes, made me hate the writer so much! So, for me Jaejoong doing GREAT in Dr.Jin! Even he's doing an AWESOME job ! If no Kyung Tak, Dr.Jin will bored to death !

Some of the viewers here commented that Jaejoong's acting is not good (or bad) while many film critics say that his acting is good. I'll believe the film critics more. --- Some of the viewers here commented that Jaejoong's saeguk tone is not good (or bad; and I wonder whether their native language is Korean) while the native Koreans say that he's good. And I'll believe the native Koreans more. --- There's a viewer here commented that Jaejoong's expressions are always the same. Excuse me, have you really watched the drama? At least all Jaejoong's scenes? He was praised because even only his eyes can "speak" and express what he supposedly feels.--- He's not perfect, nobody does, even the most notable actors have flaws... but so far it seems that he's doing good with so many good response he got from so many people, including film critics and senior actors, especially in the later episodes. It's not easy to portray his complex characters, as people say, and also he has to be good in riding horse and martial arts. Even I myself think that the drama will be kind of boring without this Kyung Tak character. --- He doesn't fit the saeguk role maybe because he's too clean and has a (too) beautiful image? If this the reason, maybe I'll agree with you. I hope he'll grow beard and moustache next time he does a saeguk drama/movie! :-)

I don't know how non-Koreans decide what a good sageuk tone is; what is it we're even supposed to be looking for? I honestly don't know. I can only comment on whether Jaejoong, the singer, convinces me he is Kyung Tak, Joseon officer, suffering from an unrequited love & fighting to be acknowledged by his father. When I see him crying, or fighting or even killing for the sake of his loved ones, do I root for him because I can empathize with his motives? The answer is yes. Plain and simple.

It is interesting to read some comments here, written by people who considered themselves as pro, while most likely and obviously they forgot to read the latest critics' comments regarding Jaejoong's acting skills improvement. Ladies.... if you at least consider yourself as someone who is talented enough to give away your critic about Jaejoong's acting skill, do bother to watch the drama seri. You can educate yourself by the improvement Jaejoong's made through the drama and will then be able to fairly judging his ability. Before then... don't bother to embarrass yourself by showing us your obvious lacks as drama seri critic wanna be. Surely, the worst of all, is so far this gal "Aileen" who compared Jae with Chun. Seriously girl... aren't you supposed to be proud of Chun without exposing your clear jealousy? Can't you praise Chun by stating what you know about him only, left alone bashing Jaejoong? I feel sorry that you feed your love for Chun with your out-loud dislikes towards Jaejoong. You only make us see how insecure you are having Jaejoong joining Saeguk.

When Jaejoong was announced to join Time Slip Dr. Jin, I was so happy to have more of him. I didn't expect anything from his acting skill but of what he has shown in Protect the Boss. With so many talents Jaejoong is blessed with, I thought it is okay if his acting skill is just average. Jaejoong surpassed my expectation. He did so well for the first week. I still thought that I was maybe so biased, for I am not a critic or understand Hangul. I was so glad when after the second week, critics began to praise Jaejoong's acting skill. Jaejoong has managed to surprise people by being a better actor every single day. Congratulation Jaejoong! Keep up the good work!

Hero is doing just fine. I guess that is the character that he has to play. Trust me if it isn't what the director wanted then he would have not gotten him for the part. His expression for his character bring out how he truly is feeling. Remember to keep in mind what character he is play, you know, with all those insecurities about his birth and such. Regardless, I still like his acting and like most said he will surely improve as he get older and more opportunities.

For someone who is a rather new actor and first time acting in a Saguek drama, I think Jaejoong is definitely doing a decent job and in some of the emotional scenes, he is definitely more than decent. I am not going to comment on his saguek tone cause I believe only Korean speaking people have the right to comment on that cause they will be the one with the right knowledge to judge if his tone are ok or not. However I do feel that he speaks a little too fast sometimes, especially when he's angry. But I guess it's a natural reaction for some people to speak faster when they are angry cause I for one, are like that too. Yeah, he is a singer first and foremost but I think we should give him credit for his efforts. Even the critics have praised him for his acting skills. No one is perfect and there is always room for improvement, even the best actors. In my personal opinion, Kyung Tak's role does make Dr Jin's drama more interesting.

KJJ has definitely improved so much since PTB..SNN..HP..even during banjun drama his character in Dating On Earth has actually proofed his potentiality. In this drama also I find PYC's potential to become good actor given him time and space to improve and good coach to teach both of them the A-Z of acting techniques and secrets. Yup, it's proven without doubt! I seriously love his acting in Time Slip Dr Jin the most! He has mature in his acting and facial expression. He tone also become sharper since PTB, maybe because of the character he play or those saeguk languages that are more spoken with firm tone. The only one makes me continue watching is that I want to see his progress in it and what will be KyungTak's life history. Will his descendants have any relationship with Dr Jin in the future? Is Dr Jin actually his great great great grandson? Or Mina? HE IS CONTINUOUSLY BEING GIVEN GOOD CRITICS FROM PROFESSIONAL AND EVEN LEGENDARY SENIOR ACTORS PRAISED HIM FOR HIS ACTING SKILLS AND VAST IMPROVEMENT. For those who not even speak korean, let alone saeguk language..please do yourself a favour - just don't! The more negative comments you give, the more people know that your comments only base on jealousy and simple hatred towards KJJ. Given a choice of agreeing to your blind comment Vs. professional comments = ? *exactly no contest!* He still have some room for improvement. He still learning all the curves of acting world. And you know what they say about people who never stop learning ~ they become much better in what they are doing!

This is only his second korean drama n being a new actor‚ Kim Jaejoong has surpassed my expectations. In fact Jae is doing a good job n improving in each episodes. His protrayal as Kim Kyungtak is really convincing that I am able to feel Kyungtak´s feelings thru JJ´s natural facial expressions. Kim Kyungtak is such an intriguing character to watch in this drama n in my oppinion‚ this role is tailor made for Jaejoong. Kim Kyungtak *Hwaiting!*

I can admit to liking the acting skills of many actors. I love Yuchun's acting, but I also love Jaejoong's. I've seen everything he's acted in. I think he's doing very well acting as a man who is internally torn, but tries to show a neutral and cold outward appearance. He does well because despite trying to appear cold you can still see flickers of the torment beneath. So I give him an A for this role. On an aside, I fluctuate between liking his character and hating him. Ugh, he can do such awful things, but when he lets his heart show mine wants to reach out to him.

Ok! First I would like to clarify that when it comes to judging acting or singing, I'm NOT a bias. I give my opinion honestly based on what I see. After watching Dr.Jin, I believe Jaejoong's acting didnt just improve, but reached a level that is NOT easily reached by anyone. When I first heard he would do a historical drama, I thought he wouldn't succeed or at least he would just be "good" BUT oh my God, I was surprised!! He truly passed my expectations. First --> His voice, the Saeguk tone is Perfect. The ability to switch his voice between rough with soldiers and soft with his lover without losing his manly tone is Amazing. Second --> His eyes, Jaejoong acted only with his eyes in some scenes and surprisingly made us feel his sorrow and tears without saying a word. Third --> His acting ability, to be able to act naturally, convey feelings and force the viewers to believe that what you are acting is real IS WHAT ACTUALLY MAKES AN ACTOR SUCCESSFUL. So, this is my personal view, but since I'm not an actor or a specialist so I could be wrong YET it seems I'm NOT wrong in my view because: 1- Actor Lee Bum Soo, who won many awards in acting and is a professional himself PRAISED Jaejoong's acting and said his feelings are so strong that it seems real. 2- Most if not all Critics praised Jaejoong's acting and even non-fans fell for him after that drama. Eventually, I think its too clear Jaejoong proved once again that he is the main event in everything and I hope he stays as humble and passionate as he is ^^ P.S: Comparison between Jaejoong and Yoochun acting is a childish act. This post is clear from its title "Judging Jaejoong's Acting" NOT "Comparing Jaejoong and Yoochun Acting", SO I think we should give more respect and stop these useless fan wars.

Some says that an artist leave his own personlity and put a different personality once he is in his character. In HP, SNN and PTB, i can still see or sense JJ's personalities. But its different in TSDJ, i can't feel the trace of JJ in KT. its the face of KJJ yet the personality is KKT. and he can now manipulates my feelings. it's what i also feel with YC with his characters in RTP/SKKS. So as a regular viewer, i can say that his doing a great job in portraying KKT.
