Happy Friday the 13th everyone! It’s time to talk about unlucky drama characters. Last Friday the 13th we conducted a poll, but this time we want to open the discussion to all the drama lovers out there. So, which drama character had the worst luck you’ve ever seen? Obviously there are potential spoilers ahead, but let’s talk about it!

hmmm...i tend to watch happy romantic comedies...but i have watched a melodrama here and there...and i think one of the most unlucky characters has to be the guy that bites the dust in fashion king at the end. I watched fashion king because I had high hopes for his character...but it went in a completely different direction.

I vote for Tak Gu from Baker King Kim Tak Gu! He grows up with no parents, goes blind at one point, and **SPOILER** doesn't even get the girl in the end. He loses her to his jerk of a step-brother. Poor guy.

  Ouch. I've been meaning to watch that because I love the main actor, but the 30 episodes made me a bit hesitant.. But now I know the ending O.O

I know it turns out all right in the end but I always thought Jan-di from Boys over Flowers was so unlucky. I guess you could throw Ji Hoo in there too. But by far EVERYONE from 49 Days!

I say Kin Young-Joo(the lawyer) from City Hunter.... not only did he keep getting in the thick of it from the crap going on without any fault on his part, lose his job and get hated by his peers for being a good person, SPOILERS he ends up dying!! D;

i hate those awful endings.i don think tak go is the worst,he doesn't end up dead anyway and in the end his step-bro changed his ways. the palace guard in king 2 hearts the kings step-bro in king two hearts prosecutor in city hunter the guy shot dead in the end fashion house-poor guy he was so pitiful in those four i cried my heart out.....soo sad

In Jung in Bad Love but at least the ending turned out good for her but geesh talk about bad luck. Falling in love with a married man without knowing he was married, getting injured badly that she couldnt continue with her cello career, miscarriage, parents got into an accident, meeting Mr Right the sweetest and hotest lead but oh so wrong, getting swindled and lost her hard earned cash...aigoo! BTW I loved this drama. I typically skip melodramas with too much "drama" but it had Kwon Sang Woo and Full House dude Kim Sung Soo.

I'd say the people in the melodrama "Bad Guy". I loved that show, but the ending was so sad. The whole family seemed to have really bad luck that just brought on bad to everyone. But in Fashion King, I think Kang Young Gul has to have the worst luck out of anybody in the world!!! He kept fighting to make it to the top only to be knocked down again and again. And that ending! It left me with my hanging wide open.

I agree with "October" think Bad Guy had many characters with the worst luck. Fashion King, while I did not watch it entirely, it had to be the most back and forth story. 49 Days too had the top for most bad luck. Just one person, what about Goong, Lee Yul (Kim Jeong Hoon)? He is born as crown Prince,, his father dies as a result of his mothers affair. His Mother is exiled and moves him to England. There she breeds hatred and revenge in him for his cousin. He comes back according to her plan, tries to get the girl, and looses everything in the end anyway!So tragic for such a young age.

Choi Soo Jong in Emperor of the Sea. Someone else said Song Il Gook in the same drama, but I thought he made a lot of his own bad luck (you know, all that killing and deception). At one point I thought the point of the story was to contrast 2 men with difficult childhoods who chose different paths. But by the end, Jang Bo Go (Choi Su Jong) had made a lot of bad choices too, and they both died in the end (along with nearly everyone else in the drama), so I think the moral is more like humans can't escape their own flaws no matter how good their intentions. Depressing, neh?! (I don't agree with this, btw).

I felt so bad for the lead in 49 Days. She struggles to stay alive for 49 days only to die 10 days later. WTH?

Geum Jandi from "Boys Over Flowers"... c'mon I mean she got her house knocked down and on top of that she was homeless without a family and started working as a maid for her ex-bf who was engaged! I mean really... that just sucks.

  I just looked at the other votes and I must say that all of the struggles the drama characters had to go through were horrible and I feel like one shouldn't be counted above another.. I mean Jandi's had great misfortune but to have a miscarriage and have your family die is pretty horrible :(

I think Shin Min Ah's character in a love to kill was the most unlucky. She just kept on getting screwed over. SPOILERS: her idiot boyfriend who promised to love her forever left her and then he jumped off a building becoming a vegetable because he missed her, she was blackmailed into getting engaged to a douche, her vegi-boyfriend's brother (Rain) ruined her career and left her family destitute for revenge and she still fell in love with him, then Rain left her when his vegi-brother woke up. She took care of the brother who still wasn't right in the head and he beat her. Rain came back for a day and then left her AGAIN and she literally went crazy, and when he finally came back for her again, they both died. Bi/Rain was unlucky in this drama too but most of the things that happened to him were his own damn fault cuz he was such a hot head... though on the plus side badass Rain is badass!

It has to be Young Gul from Fashion King. Every time he succeeded he got taken down. Sometimes he was his own worse enemy. What a sad life from beginning to end...
