A report from New Focus in South Korea states that though North and South Korea are close in proximity, their standards of feminine beauty are quite different. In North Korea, if a woman has a round, moon face, it’s considered very beautiful. This is very different from the slender, narrow face shapes that South Koreans admire. Many North Koreans that come to South Korea are surprised at the difference in beauty standards.
