Feng Xiaogang is one of the most famous directors in China, as the man behind blockbusters like The Banquet and 2010 Best Foreign Film Oscar nominee Aftershock. His latest epic, Back to 1942, is an unforgettable true story of a tragic famine that killed more than 3 million people. Featuring a star-studded Chinese cast including Chen Daoming, Li Xuejian and Zhang Guoli, Back to 1942 also features some Hollywood star power, with Adrien Brody playing an American journalist, and Tim Robbins as a Catholic priest.
