Kang Min Kyung’s latest commercial for Gillette has caused quite a riot online. The video was filmed with the concept of “a shave that calls for a kiss.” She plays the role of the viewer’s girlfriend through creative camerawork and playfully leads the viewer on to the couch. Netizens have said they were “shocked” by the suggestiveness of the video. The Davichi member herself spoke out saying that she was not aware of how she would be portrayed on camera.

Her agency has commented that, “Initially, they promised that they’d only reveal the video after talking it over with us,” they added, “We weren’t consulted as much as we’d like to have been,” in regard to the video that was uploaded. Watch for yourself:

I don't think it was over the top but I thought the guy was a little rude the way he gave her a shove on the couch. It would have been better for a lip balm commercial.

yeah,very lame to make such a big deal about it.In my opinion Korean society is very prejudiced towards women.Always criticizing and making things bigger when a women does it.They never say or criticize the disgusting behavior of some male Koreans kissing each other in the mouth NOT ONCE HAVE I SEEN ANY CRITICISM towards that type of behavior that in my opinion is totally disgusting,They call it Fanservice to cover up for the real reason they kiss each other bc they are gay no real men would do something like that.The girls in real life do worst thing why make such a big deaof this possible commercial air it it will be #1 in popularity just a cute girl being romantic!

Thought it was kinda cute for a shaving ad. It did not bother me one bit and feel Ms. Kang did a good job of being a woman who appreciates a man with a smooth chin. Besides, it's always nice to be kissed by a pretty woman, regardless of which country she is from.

It felt kind of awkward to watch. I felt like uh "should I even be here right now??" It did seem slightly suggestive..but it didn't seem overly sexual to me...granted I am used to the commercials we have in the states.

this commercial is a little weird in a way but instead they should show what they were advertising more instead of just doing a first person view of her but this is good in a way.

Aside from having no idea what they were selling, in what way shape or form is this a sexy/ trashy commercial? And as for being a porno, these people have never seen a porn movie if this is what they think. You people are truely puritans to the Nth degree.

Well, he didn't actually push her she just fell back with more force. The would have worked better for a lip balm commercial. Would have made more sense. For a shaving commercial, they could have been on the couch watching TV and she had her legs in his lap and when he touched her he felt she needed to shave. But then, they may be too much skinship for them...IDK
