Is it too good to be true? Several sources indicate that Lee Min Ho is on the short list to play the lead role in upcoming film sequel to Friend, aptly titled Friend 2. If cast, Lee Min Ho would play the son of Jang Dong Gun‘s character, Dong Soo—a character who met his end in the original film.

One source told Enews, “We′ve learned that Lee Min Ho has received the casting offer and is looking at it postively. He was no. 1 on the list for his distinct features, which resemble Jang Dong Gun′s, and his acting.”

It’s been reported that Minho’s agency denied any commitments to the film, saying they recently turned down the offer over scheduling conflicts. But we still have some hope that things will work out and we’ll see Minho on the big screen once again!

If he does take the role, it will be his first time on the big screen in five years—not to mention, his first lead film role. How badly do you want to see Minho take his talents to the movies?
