2012 DramaFever Awards Categories Announced

On March 1st, 2013, voting begins for the first annual DramaFever Awards, a worldwide event in which Asian drama lovers from around the world are asked to vote on their favorite dramas, actors, and more. Winners, as chosen by fans, will receive a beautiful DramaFever award as a sign of their achievement. The categories for the first annual DramaFever Awards reflect not only the chance to reward the best drama performers of the past year, but also the moments, characters and relationships that keep drama lovers glued to their screens. Nominees for each category are a closely-guarded secret, but we do have this year’s categories. The categories for the 2012 DramaFever Awards are:

Best Drama

Best Actress

Best Actor

Best Ensemble

Breakthrough Performance

Best Kiss

Best Villain

Best Couple

Best Couple Not Meant to Be

Best Bromance

Best Soundtrack

Most Overlooked Drama

Feel free to speculate below on who most deserves to be nominated. Nominees will be revealed later this week, and voting begins right here on DramaFever on March 1st, 2013.

I will say that the best couple not meant to be, would be Kim Hyun Joong and Koo Hye Sun in Boys over flowers. And also in You're beautiful for the same categorie Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Kwa !!!!!!!

Awesome. This looks fun. Jung Ryeo Won for Best Actress (most enjoyable performance) and Jang Hyuk (favorite enunciation and emotional range). No ensemble comes to mind other than every group of Highkick actors. Great category though!

Best drama for me: The Sun that Embraces the Moon. Best kiss: Jung Ill Woo kissing scene in Flower Boy Ramen Shop. Best Villain: Harry...in Miss You (that might be 2013 though!)

BOF was aired in 2008 main roles GHS and LMH you're beautiful was aired in 2009 main roles PHS and JKS (my fav) Flower Boy of Ramyum Shop was aired 2011 I miss you must be ranked in 2013 (great drama) For me best drama 2012 Nice Guy Best Kiss 2012 Love rain Best couple Ji Hyun Woo,Yoo In Na Queen In hyun's Man The other categories I'm not sure yet

Best Couple Not Meant to be - Do-Hyun (Kim Sung-Min) and Hye-Jin (Jeong Ae-Yeon) in "Can We Get Married." I will not spoil it, but those two were a HOT MESS!!

Best Soundtrack = Dream High 2 !! "Hello to Myself" was extremely moving and stuck in my head for weeks. I actually started watching just to see the Clazziquai cover on "Romeo and Juliet" in the first place! Is there really other competition out there ??

2012 was an INCREDIBLE year for dramas & I can't wait to vote!! Lots to choose from for all the categories but either "Shut Up Flower Boy Band" or "Arang & the Magistrate" get my vote for Most Overlooked drama!

Best Drama: Queen In-hyun's Man Best Actress: Han Ji-min (Rooftop Prince, or even Padam Padam, for that matter) Best Actor: Jung Woo-sung (Padam Padam) Best Ensemble: History of the Salaryman Breakthrough Performance: Lee Jong-hyuk in A Gentleman's Dignity (he's not really new, but I feel like we haven't seen much of him before?) Best Kiss: ??? Best Villain: Kimura Shunji (Bridal Mask) Best Couple: Kim Bong-do & Choi Hee-jin (Queen In-hyun's Man) Best Couple Not Meant to Be: Kang Ma-roo & Han Jae-hee (Nice Guy) Best Bromance: Choe Young & King Gongmin (Faith) Best Soundtrack: Rooftop Prince Most Overlooked Drama: Arang & the Magistrate Wow, I watch way too many dramas. for me, the best drama of 2012 is FAITH. and the best actor is LEE MIN HO. Why FAITH? because,while watching it, I cried, I laughed , and the most important is, I LEARNED. always keep the faith and expect the unexpected!

Lee Min Ho is the best. I love you more and more after watching Faith. You are heroic and charming in the drama.
