I enjoyed this podcast and will probably subscribe so I can listen to the earlier ones. Jackie is a real asset to the team beczuse she shows knowledge of other kdramas where the guys seemed not that familiar, I mean what kdrama fan doesn't at least know about Winter Sonata, and Stairway to Heaven. I think so many pedestrian car accidents are featured in Korean dramas because they happen more often in Korea than many other places. Many of the cliches are culturally based, for instance being an orphan is treated a specific way in Korea and hence moves the characters a certain way. Thanks for the podcast and I will continue to listen.

  I agree. Jackie makes me listen to the podcasts. I want to hear commentary from people who have some history with. K dramas. She really knows what she's talking about and she's funny. Good job Jackie!!

Apparently this is a remake of a movie. You guys need to link where we can get this movie. More information like that please. Also, stop bashing Queen of Ambition, the bad are really bad and the good are really good. Super duper melodrama campiness. I am sure they have fun writing and acting this show. Mostly the "tropes" aka clichés, are part of what most of us who in silly way patronize Drama Fever. You guys should develop a scoring system: number of slaps, glasses of water, hospital scenes, IV, drunk girlfriend being carried. I am sure the graphics would be great.
