The passionate kiss shared between Jang Hyuk and Lee Da Hae is the subject of discussion on an online community bulletin. A picture of the kiss was posted on the bulletin and netizens commented on Jang Hyuk’s kissing style. The Iris 2 actor has earned himself the nickname of ”Vacuum Cleaner” because of the intensity of his kiss. One netizen questioned, “Is this a kiss scene or an action scene?” another netizen commented: “Kiss scenes are supposed to be beautiful… but that picture looks scary… Like he’s going to suck her in alive ㅡㅡ” and ”This is the first time I saw such a hilarious kiss scene that’s supposed to be serious ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ”. And then another netizen wondered: ”Did he swallow her jaw too?”

I agree. I thought the same thing when I saw this scene and thought, well...maybe that's what people want to see. So I'm SO HAPPY to know that everyone else had the same reaction that I did..."WTF...what is he trying to do to her? Suck her face inside, out?????" LOL

There's a very famous kiss by actor/singer Rain in "A Time to Kill" where he's doing a vacuum kiss too. That kiss got the same comments too. Definitely not your typical Korean closed-mouth, girl with the shocked/wild eyes, but definitely a passionate kiss. Wouldn't be my first choice, since the girl in this doesn't really seem to be into it...

He's doing great in this kiss scene! First of all, they have chemistry. Secondly, they've worked on another drama, Chuno, and had accumulated additional closeness!. Lastly, he and she were childhood sweethearts and have eyes and hearts for each other for so long that this kiss scene, not their bed scene, showed their longing for each other..........and may be he would've liked to "eat her alive".......so to speak!.......Jang Hyuk and Lee Da Hae.......you guys are the best!..............(^o^)

I would not take this too seriously. The director and the cameraman are right there telling them what to do and how to do it. Jang very embarrassed apparently according to a recent talk show.

I agree!! Jang Hyuk is one of the greatest Korean actors of this generation, and from what I've seen gives some of the most passionate and realistic kisses I've ever seen in dramas and in a movie or two. I get ticked when they do those weird kisses in dramas where the girl's eyes are bugging out and her arms are stiff at her sides like Riverdance. That's totally dumb and unrealistic to me too.

watching romance scene in Korean drama/movie, look like the stars are just are cued how they should do it which is to me that makes the difference. Hmm why not tell the actor/actress tell them do it naturally so the love scene would not appear like both characters constipated.
