With the end of 2009 and the beginning of a new year, we’ve got a whole new roster of dramas to look forward to in the coming months. First among them is two dramas which look to be lighter fare premiering on January 4th: the food-oriented Pasta and the single-mom romcom Pick the Stars. While there’s higher-profile dramas approaching (and much anticipated medical sageuk Jejoongwon premiers on the same day), I wanted to highlight these two to make sure they get their proper share of attention in the swirl and bustle of an all-new year.

Congratulations to new parents Lee Sun Gyoon (Triple, Coffee Prince) and Jeon Hye Jin (My Sweet Seoul)! Both Mom and the brand-new bouncing baby boy are in fine health after some early minor complications, and now they just need to decide on a name!

Lee Yo Won is photogenic, and she has the plaque to prove it! The Queen Seon Deok star was just awarded the Photogenic award by the 10th Korean Media Ceremony.

So Ji Sub tried out a goth dandy image complete with fedora, trench coat and leather boots at a recent publicity event. That’s a lot of look!

Wearing much less, Lee Seung Gi flashed his six-pack in a photo shoot advertising his upcoming concert tour, igniting area libidos. The star says that he was “shocked” when he first saw the pic of his bodacious bod. Don’t be so humble!

New details emerged on the new Cha Seung Won thriller Secret, a follow-up to the 2007 hit Seven Days and part of a planned four-film series by creator Yoon Jae Gu on a “rescue” theme.
