Bae Soo Bin Wants You to Vote

Polls are open for the 2010 Seoul Drama Awards, and you can vote for your favorite Actor and Actress from Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan right here. You can vote once a day, so make sure your voice is heard! As of this writing, the Korean actors are in the lead, with Lee Seung Ki and Han Hyo Joo at the top of their respective categories across all countries.

Bae Doo Na rocked the $27,000 Sequin Destroy Mini Dress from Balmain’s Spring/Summer collection to the press conference for her upcoming weekend drama Gloria. Bae covered up some of the rips and tears and added leather dominatrix boots to put her stamp on the piece.
Jay Chou gave a really weird interview in which the Taiwanese megastar said that if his popularity wains in the next 4 years he’s quitting show business, that he’s a “pretty good lover,” and that he only wears underwear when he’s performing in concert. Good to know!
Won Bin is back, and the stars came out to celebrate his new film The Man From Nowhere, his first since the international favorite Mother. Nowhere features Won as a loner who breaks out of his shell to save his neighbor from “evil forces.”
Finally, the issue of Rain’s height was settled once and for all after conclusive proof was analyzed by fans. Odd camera angles notwithstanding, Rain is really tall!

Shin Min Ah

Road No. 1 star So Ji Sub bares all in a new interview in which he’s asked about his new drama’s audience share, getting injured on the set, and why he’s sick of playing the nice guy.

Playful Kiss has its leading man! The boy-next-door who’s the best at everything in the upcoming adaptation of Itazura na Kiss is… Kim Hyun Joong He beat out strong competition, as it’s been widely reported that Chang Min from DBSK and Jung Yong Hwa were also angling for the role. The nerdy girl who Kim’s character falls for has still not been cast, but Park Shin Hye and Sulli from f(x) are said to be in the running.

Wu Chun came out as a confirmed bachelor in a recent interview. The Taiwanese heartthrob, in Okinawa to promote his new drama Angel of Sunshine, was quizzed about his love life and said that he hadn’t dated in 14 years! Angel co-star Rainie Yang backed up Wu, saying that unlike other men she’s worked with, he never ever flirts with her on set. The article concludes, “one still can’t help but to wonder what is occupying the mind of this secretive hunk.” What a mystery!

Speaking of secrets, Jang Hyuk is returning to drama in a new show called Secret Garden. Little is known about the premise of the show, but it has a great pedigree: On Air PD Shin Eun Chul will be in charge, and it’s set to take over Life Is Beautiful’s timeslot when that drama concludes.

Teaser posters for upcoming SBS drama “My Girlfriend is a Nine-tailed Fox” have been released on June 20, 2010.

The posters were shot at SBS Ilsan Studio with the two main leads, Lee Seung-gi and Shin Min-ah. The main concept of the photo shoot was for Lee Seung-gi to fall in love with Shin Min-ah at first glance until the wind blows her skirt up to reveal her nine tails. Once he realizes she’s a nine-tailed fox, he had to act surprised…

Han Eun Jung

The sequel series of the popular romantic comedy Queen of Housewives has been announced, with a name change that may indicate a tone change for season two: Queen of Tears will rejoin Kim Nam Joo as Chun Ji Ae as she struggles for independence and happiness. Although Kim has already agreed to return, the rest of the original cast (including Oh Ji Ho) have not yet confirmed. Tears will drop in September.

Rain gave an extensive interview following his win at the MTV Movie Awards this weekend. The idol opens up about his pride at being the first Korean to win on the show (“I really want to brag about this one”), his prediction of an East-West interracial Hollywood romantic comedy, and his feelings on the possibility of being pigeonholed in action roles.

It looks like the sparks between Jo Kwon and Ga In on We Got Married just might be the real thing. Kim Hee Chul

At a press conference for the new Son Ye Jin/Lee Min Ho romantic comedy Personal Taste, Son said that she looks forward to her comic role, calling her character “the most ridiculous and comic book-ish character I have ever played.” Lee suggested that previous depictions of his character as a straight man who fakes being gay in order to get an apartment are misleading: “I don’t know if he will end up pretending to be gay.” And speaking of the gay, Personal co-star Seulong was asked if he had any gay friends and all he could come up with was a foreigner who moved away years ago and a 10-year old kid. I guess he just didn’t want to out anyone, but the guy does work in show business, right?…

Kim Nam Gil started a running joke at the Baeksang awards, apologizing to his rival Lee Seung Ki’s fans before accepting the award for best newcomer. Meanwhile, new behind-the-scenes photos have come out from the set of Bad Guy, Kim’s upcoming thriller–check them out here!
