First 3D Drama to Air in September

Production on the nation’s first 3D drama is currently underway, bringing the 3D boom from movies and sports to soap operas.

MBC Production on Sunday announced, “We are currently shooting the entire first episode of the third season of ‘Chosun Police Season 3′ in 3D. Households with 3D TVs will be able to enjoy it in 3D on cable channel MBC DramaNet or the Skylife 3D test channel”.

Nichkhun to go on vacation with Victoria & f(x)

On an upcoming recording of MBC We Got Married, the Khuntoria couple of Nichkhun and Victoria will be going on a vacation with their “daughters” and fellow f(x) members Krystal, Sulli, Luna, and Amber!

According to staff from the show, they will be headed to a water park during the last week of July to take some time off and relax in the sizzling hot summer season.

Kim Hyun-Joong to Play Handsome Genius Boy

SS501 member Kim Hyun-joong has been cast as the male lead in the MBC drama “Mischievous Kiss” (written by Ko Eun-nim, directed by Hwang In-roi and Kim Do-hyeong), which will begin airing from September.

According to a spokesperson for his agency Keyeast on July 16, Kim Hyun-joong will play the male lead named Paek Seung Jo in the drama. The character he will play is a handsome genius boy who can learn anything one hundred times faster than others.

In the original Japanese comic book, the name of the character was Arie Naoki.

Production director Hwang In-roi revealed reason why he cast Kim Hyun-joong for the role by saying, “Kim Hyun-joong has an appearance that looks like he just came out of the romance comics and he also has purity in his mind, so he is very suitable for the character Paek Seung Jo”.

Nichkhun to Cameo on More Charming By The Day

2PM’s Nichkhun will be making a cameo appearance on the MBC sitcom More Charming By The Day.

A representative has stated that Nichkhun has completed filming with the show’s usual cast members Kim Young Gwang and Choi Yeo Jin. Nichkhun is playing the role of a Thai guy who likes Korean dramas. Although his Korean isn’t perfect, he gave a lot of laughter while playing the part of a drama addict, by speaking with a drama-like tone.

Lee Shi-young cast in two-episode MBC drama

Lee Shi-young has lined up her next role, which is in a short MBC drama called What Do You Really Want? She stars as the daughter to a washed-up boxer in the two-episode special, which will begin filming later this month.

The production side stated Lee’s participation as a done deal, while her representation gave a more tentative “We’re considering it” answer. However, given that they didn’t deny the report, I’d say chances are likely that this is close to a finalized deal.
